Editor-at-larger and columnist for the Beirut-based Daily Star, Khoury serves as the director of the Issam Fares Institute of Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut. Along with being a Neiman journalism fellow at Harvard University in 2001-02, Khoury currently serves as a fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the Dubai School of Government. A past visiting scholar at Standard, Syracuse, Mt. Holyoke, Northeastern, and Tufts. Khoury served for four years on the international advisory board for the International Committee of the Red Cross and was awarded the Pax Christi International Peace Award for his efforts in the Mideast. Khoury holds a B.A. in political science and an Master's in journalism from Syracuse.
